A natural setting on New Mexico's Ute Lake provided inspiration for Nicklaus Design's breathtaking layout of 12 Shores Golf Club, where golfers have the rare opportunity to play to or directly along the scenic shoreline.

While nine holes of the championship golf course are now open, golfers will find that a second set of tees provides two distinct 9-hole experiences during a round. The second time through the course, golfers will find holes playing at different lengths and par-3 holes playing from completely different angles.

Matt Williams of the Sun Country Amateur Golf Association says: "From the first moment you get a glimpse of the golf course, you know you are in the a memorable experience. The peaceful surroundings, couples with the lakeside views make it one of the most beautiful courses we have in New Mexico. In addition, the lakeside holes make for one of the most rewarding and enjoyable stretches of golf in the state."
