JC Golf Welcomes Bryon Penfield, PGA, and Logan Willis as New Leadership to California Golf Courses
JC Golf is proud to introduce Bryon Penfield as the new General Manager at The Crossings at Carlsbad! If you’ve been part of our golf community for a while, you might already recognize him.
Bryon has been a valued member of the JC Resorts family since 2009, holding key leadership roles throughout his tenure. His journey includes serving as Director of Golf at Rancho Bernardo Inn, Director of Golf at The Crossings, and most recently, General Manager at Twin Oaks. Now, he’s come full circle, and we’re happy to welcome him back to The Crossings in this new role!
A Southern California native from Canyon Lake, Bryon’s passion for golf began over 20 years ago. Starting as a cart attendant and assistant golf professional in Hemet, CA, he worked his way up through the industry, developing a deep understanding of the game and golf operations.
Bryon earned his Business Administration degree from Cal State San Marcos and became a Class A PGA member. His dedication to the sport and its community is evident through his service on the San Diego Chapter PGA Board of Directors and his recent recognition as the recipient of the 2024 PGA Bill Strausbaugh Award for outstanding mentorship in the golf industry.

A Southern California native from the mountains of Lake Arrowhead, Logan brings over 14 years of management experience in the golf industry. For the past decade, he dedicated his career to Bear Creek Golf Club in Murrieta, CA, where he held multiple leadership roles, most recently serving as the Clubhouse Manager.
