Your time and experience
are important to us
We are dedicated to keeping pace-of-play every time you play. The following tips below will help you get into a good rhythm and flow of your round. If you have questions, please inquire with the pro shop or starter staff.
- Pace-Of-Play Standards:
- Be ready when it is your turn to play.
- Tee it forward.
- If your group falls behind, you may be asked to speed up and/or skip the next hole.
Pro Tips For Maintaining
Pace-of Play:
-
Play from tees that match your play level.
-
Play “ready golf” (playing out of turn in stroke play) and keep track when it is your turn. Have your yardage and club selection ready to play when it is safe; carry multiple clubs to your ball.
-
Keep your pre-shot routine quick. Allow for 1-2 practice swings under 20 seconds.
-
When in doubt, the middle of the green is a good place to be.
-
Keep the group in front of you in sight.
-
After dropping off your cart partner, proceed to your ball in a safe location and be ready to play. Your partner should then walk to your location after playing his or her shot.
-
Please do not spend undue time searching for lost balls. Mark your ball to quickly identify.
-
Read your putt while others are putting, and putt-out (continue to putt until finished).
-
Record your scores on the next tee. Clear the putting green immediately to allow the group following to hit their approach shots.
-
Order food at the turn in plenty of time so not to delay the back nine. If ordering ahead is not available, quickly pick up food and drinks at the snack bar and move to the next hole.
-
Let groups play through. If you’re playing with a new golfer or just moving a little slower, let faster groups play through.
-
Check your position. If your group falls out of position, a player assistant will give you reasonable time to regain your position. However, if your group is still out of position, it may be necessary to move your group to the proper position on the course.
